Based on the central character in the Eminem song of the same name, a “stan” is an overzealous maniacal fan for any celebrity or athlete.

Someone on youtube call me a stan because whenever I see people talk shit about Lady Gaga or Lana Del Rey I get HEATED. So I googled what it meant and I realized I used to love this song too ^_^
